Beach Palms This page contains images and information about the golden sandy beaches in Barcelona. Barcelona offers you 4.2 kilometers of golden sandy beaches, only 10 minutes from the city center.
There are 4 main areas of beaches. The following summary lists the beaches in order of proximity to the center of the city:grand luxe hotel Barcelona
1) Barceloneta Beach
(Yellow Line, L4) Turn right when leaving the subway and cross the main streets, continue walking straight for 10 minutes. Barceloneta is the first beach in Barcelona, and therefore it can get quite full during the summer months.
The previous image of Barceloneta beach was taken on October 3 … and the sun was still shining! But it’s not always like this. There may be cloudy or rainy days – it is very random.
In addition to swimming, there are many other things to do on the beach. Windsurfing and kite surfing are very popular. You can also enjoy a refreshing drink in one of the cabins on the beach.
Or, if you want to rest, just lie down and bathe in the warmth of the Spanish sun with a good book.
In Barcelona, you are always close to interesting architecture … even on the beach! But the designer of this building maybe drank too much when he was making his designs!
The fastest way to go to Barceloneta beach is to take the yellow metro line and get off at the Barceloneta stop.
You can also walk from the center of the city to Barceloneta. It will take you about 20 minutes from the end of La Rambla.
If you decide to walk, there are great views along the way. You will see the “Monument a Colom”, a monument to the great explorer Christopher Columbus. A little further away is the port of Barcelona, a picturesque port with a beautiful view of the sea and the marina.
